Change

Change is always good I know,
But change in me seems not to show.
Here I stay to try and grow,
so i'll be ready when I go.

In me there's a struggle,
I fight to change my ways.
But it's a fight I battle,
almost everyday.

If people only knew,
how hard I try to change.
They wouldn't find my actions,
all that really strange.

I look behind myself,
and grimace at the sight.
But I have the chance to face ahead,
and choose what I know is right.

So here I stand today,
stronger than before.
I close the door behind me,
to open just one more.
